For my summer reading i have decided to start reading City of Thieves by Daivd Benioff who has written many screenplays during the years, like the screenplays for Troy and X-men.

POST 1

I have begun reading City of Thieves by David Benioff and I mut say it s truly a great story the king of story that one day you may consider a classic. This stor begins witha very charming prologue, the prologue truly captures onesattention because it begins with the author trying to inteview his grandfather who was in the world war II, exeriencing the holocaust, so that way he can get information on what to write on his book. It seems his grandfather gives him only little information, because he seems traumatized for what he has seen during the years, and so in this prologue he asks if David can do written version of what he beliees mighthave happened between these marking dates. David accepts because he has the power of a writer.

starting the story:
Lev Beniov is left alone without his mothe or sister for he so muc cared for he feels fine about it because he believes his family to be safe, and believes himself to be a lonely wolf. He is faced to fight for his rigths and for his comunitys rights, that is one of the reasons he stays in Leningrad, in here these are naziz looking jewish people that includes Lev. He wants to say for he believes it looks strong of him to do, but he belives it was actually worng what he dd because he left his family all alone and he believes to have done a huge mistake.

Post 2

Lev has begun his great adventure by stealing from a dead nazi that has fallen from the sky. He has stolen his liqor and his knife, and he feels good about it, he feels like a soilder, that’s the way he wanted to feel when he stayed in leningard. He gets imprisoned once they fing him, and they take to a horrible prison, but in that prison he meets a person who later on ( by prediction) might become a true friend. He meets a young german, who is reffered to as a deserter. Lev described him to be a very handsome man, the kind of man you would see on one of those german heroes poster. Lev was afraid of telling to much information to the german named Koyla, he could not know if he was being spied on. So he never spoke any important information. Now the story plot develops here, they are taken to a nazi colonel, who quite frankly does not want to hurt them as mnuch as he wants to verbally humiliate them. The colonel also wants these boys to do him a great favor.

POST 3
THe favor is to take a cake to a celebration of marrige, of the colonels doughter. to protect the cake with all their power. Lev and Koyla have gotten in to much troube recently. Koyla has been mocking the Germans for fun, because they really cant do as much to him, even thought he is a deserter he is still a German, a German that can make fun of Germans. Lev has eeen feeling comfortable with Koyla but feels he must establish that they are not fully freinds yet. On there travels, they meet a hungry man, so hungry he feed on men, and so logically they try to get away from him as fast as possible.
POST 4
Lev and Koyla are able to escape from a cannibal out to get them. Luckily Lev had a knife with him, strapped on his ankle. So levwhen he saw he and his fellow mate Koyla were in trouble he cut the cannibalss jaw open, and then ran away with hurt koyla. Koyla greatly appriciated with Lev left off incredibly scared after the incident.Later they begin looking for place to stay over the night, so they consider a house that they see in the distance, and can see it because they all of a sudden hear some amazing piano playing within the house so they go off to see. When they get there they see it is noting but a wrecked house. But they like to pay it respect (because of the piano playing), with a moment of silence. They later continue their search until Lev finds his old home in the distance.
Post 5
Lev and Koyla get to a friendly house, a place where they can stay the night. This house was of a friend of Koyla, a lady friend of Koyla. She was a jewish-german girl, called Sonya. Her family had left her and gone off to Moscow, during the War, She stayed so she could study more the war, This with a group of student who where also studying the war. Lev and Koyla are taken care by this group of people, with food and hot drinks. Lev found himself attracted to Sonya, but unfortunattely she was really attracted to Koyla who is in the book described as very atractive in comparison to Lev. Lev feels let down.

Post 6

I have decided to take a brief intermission of reading city of thieves to discuss my reading of The Hound Of Baskervilles by Arthur Conan Doyle. This book truly is well made. Sir Arthur truly demonstrates that he himself can actually be the real Sherlock Holmes. He can also demonstrate that his character of Dr. Watson may very well a great detective maybe equally great to Sherlock Holmes. I have only read half of it during the week but will continue during the rest of the next week. Holmes is contacted by Dr. Mortimer with a serious case, the death of Charles Baskerville. Mortimer belives his death is caused by the legend of a hound that kills the Baskervilles.Sherlock begins his investigation sending Watson on a mission to spy on whatevr may happen to Henry in Baskerville Hall where the legend follows him, to kill him.

Post 7

Watson indeed goes on this mission to investigate the people that mayh be involved he notices certain people. People that seem kind of fishy. For example: Barrymore the servant and also his wife, Laura Lyons the lady who was sexualy involved with Sir Charles, Mr. Stapleton and his sister. at the end we discover that the one responisble had been Mr. Stapleton who was entitled to terretory which he thought would be his ,but then realized Henry was in the mix.He tried to kill Henry but Sherlock and Watson were watching every movement of the scene went off scaring him off and killing Stapletons Hound.THey were not able to catch Staplton but they were left with the though that he coud never get help and that he could mostly die of starvation. All in all Sherlock Holmes is the kind of book that any person can find themselves in enthralled with.
